Celtic secure fourth Scottish Premiership title with thrashing of Dundee United

Celtic won their fourth consecutive Scottish Premiership title on Saturday with a 5-0 thrashing of Dundee United.

After the champions took the lead thanks to an own goal by Ryan Strain, Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah both scored twice.

In the last fourteen seasons, Celtic have won thirteen Scottish titles.

They lead Rangers, who are in second place with five games still to play, by 18 points with four games left in the season.

Brendan Rodgers' men have dominated Scotland, with the Glasgow club claiming 21 of the last 26 domestic championships.

Celtic might have been crowned champions with just a draw against Dundee, but they choose to do it in grand fashion instead.

With this latest victory, Rodgers has now won eleven major trophies in his managerial tenure at Celtic.

If they beat Aberdeen in May's Scottish Cup final, they would have kept Rodgers' record of six trebles in nine seasons alive.
