In response to the social media ban imposed by the federal government, singer Eedris Abdulkareem has begun the "Tell Your Papa" challenge.
The singer's new anti-Tinubu single "Tell Your Papa" has reportedly been prohibited from airplay in Nigeria by the government, according to FONENERIK.
According to a memo signed by Susan Obi, the National Broadcasting Commission's Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, the music was deemed "inappropriate, and offensive" by NBC.
Abdulkareem said in an Instagram post that the government's actions constituted a "attempt to silence the truth and suppress criticism" in response to the ban.
On the other hand, the musician made headlines on Sunday when he posted the "Tell Your Papa" challenge to Instagram, urging people to inform those in authority of the truth.
"Silence strengthens authority so much as anything," he stated in his challenge post share. One should know when to talk and when to remain silent. Say something and have your opinion heard now.
