The mural of Kobe and Gianna Bryant will be restored with the $5,000 donation from Luka Doncic

On Tuesday, Luka Dončić of the Los Angeles Lakers gave $5,000 to aid with the restoration of a painting that features Kobe Bryant and Gianna, his daughter.

Somebody in downtown Los Angeles had defaced the mural.

In the mural, which can be seen on the side of a building at the intersection of 14th and Main streets, Bryant is shown kissing his 13-year-old daughter on the face as she holds a basketball.

On the other hand, black and white paint had been splattered all over the artwork.

The Hall of Fame basketball player—who played his whole career with the Lakers and won five NBA championships—and his adolescent daughter were the subjects of the painting.

The contribution was confirmed by Dončić's foundation, and his name was listed on Tuesday on the GoFundMe donation list for the mural's restoration.

Here in Los Angeles, Kobe is. This city, the Lakers organization, and I personally mean a lot to him and Gigi," Dončić stated in a statement given by the Luka Dončić Foundation.

I'm willing to go to whatever lengths to ensure that him and his daughter are respected.
