U-20 AFCON 2025: Kparobo of the Flying Eagles chosen one of the up-and-coming players to keep an eye on

Kparobo Arierhi, a striker with the Flying Eagles, has been selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to be one of the promising young players to keep an eye on at the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in 2025.

For Nigeria's match in Egypt, Kparobo will be in charge of scoring goals.

Last year, in Lomé, Togo, for the WAFU B U-20 Championship, the Flying Eagles were led by an 18-year-old who scored three goals.

Two of those goals came in the final match against Ghana's long-time rivals, the Black Stars.

The striker from Lillestrøm, Norway, scored twice in Nigeria's most recent two friendly matches, one against Moraks FC and the other against Egypt.

Tunisia, Kenya, and Morocco are the other teams Nigeria will play in Group B.

On Thursday, Aliyu Zubairu's squad will play Tunisia in their first match in Cairo's June 30 Stadium.

At 4 p.m. Nigerian time, the match will begin.
