Actress Iyabo Ojo is facing allegations of cyberbullying in relation to a live video she recorded in 2023, and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has invited her to appear in court.
In a long post on Thursday, the actress from Lagos revealed that she had been invited to the National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja for denouncing certain persons over their suspected participation in the death of musician Mohbad.
In response to petitions alleging cyberbullying and other wrongdoings in relation to a live video I made some years ago, I was summoned by the Nigeria Police Force's National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja not long ago.
In the video, she asked certain people to "prove their innocence or otherwise" by cooperating with investigators looking into Mohbad's mysterious death, she added.
This comes four months after Naira Marley and Sam Larry were found not guilty of any involvement in the killing of musician Mohbad.
According to FONENERIK NEWS, Mohbad passed away in September 2023 under very contentious circumstances.
Videos showing how his former record label owner Naira Marley and her assistant Sam Larry had abused him surfaced after his death, adding fuel to the fire of controversy surrounding the subject.
As a result of this new information, many are blaming Sam Larry and Naira Marley; Iyabo Ojo is leading the campaign for the victims' justice.
The two were taken into custody in October 2023 after the public pressured them to do so.
Iyabo Ojo was served a public apologies and a demand for N500 million damages by Naira Marley in December 2023.
In retaliation for Naira Marley, the actress filed a lawsuit for N1 billion.
