Kenyan pop star Victoria Kimani has come clean about the fact that her fellow countrymen have never asked her out on a date.
Formerly contracted to the Nigerian label Chocolate City, the singer has claimed that foreigners are the only ones who have ever contacted her in Kenya.
Her compatriots, she said, either don't trust her or assume she'll reject them due to her standing.
Kimani recently stated, "I don't get approached in Kenya," when appearing on an episode of the Box Pod. Unless they are from another country, no one ever talks to me.
They either don't trust me or are afraid I'll reject them, or they are unsure of how to approach me. They seem to be missing the mark.
To approach women, she said, all guys need is self-assurance, basic hygiene, and communication skills.
According to the artist, the use of foul language by males while approaching women is a common cause of rejection.
Love affairs have been a closely guarded secret for Victoria Kimani.
But in the past, reports have circulated that she was romantically involved with Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz and Nigerian rapper Ice Prince Zamani.
