As you can see in the tweet above, Huawei today revealed that it sold more than 1 million Ascend Mate7 handsets until now - since last month, when the device was both announced, and released. Most of the units were likely sold in China, since the Mate7 isn’t widely available around the world yet.

The Ascend Mate7 is one of Huawei’s largest smartphones ever, as it sports a 6-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels. However, it’s still quite compact for a 6 incher, thanks to the fact that its bezels are very thin. The Mate7 is made out of metal, and comes with a one-touch fingerprint scanner on the back. Other features include LTE, 5 MP front-facing camera, 13 MP rear camera, 2 GB / 3 GB of RAM, expandable internal memory, a 4100 mAh battery, and Android KitKat (customized with Huawei’s Emotion 3.0 UI). You can find out much more about the device by reading our Huawei Ascend Mate7 review here (spoiler: we were quite impressed by it).

At the moment, we don’t know if the Ascend Mate7 will be released in the US, but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything on this.
